Es. 9: 19; Luke 2: 1-20; Lev. 23; Mic. 5: 2; Jer. 33: 14, 15; Es. 61: 1, 2
The Jewish nation long anticipated the arrival of Jesus knowing what Isaiah and other prophets have written. There were in expectation of the Messiah (Luke 3: 15). The Bible prophecies include remarkable details on this event and His life. He was going to be born of a virgin miraculously (Mat. 1: 22, 23; Is. 7: 14) He would be a descendant of David Jesse his father (Mat. 1: 6, 16; Luke 3: 23, 31, 32) Angel Gabriel foretold his birth (Luke 1: 32, 33; Is. 11: 1-5, 10; Rom 15: 12). We have absolutely no way of knowing whether or not He was born in December except in the Jewish calendar the 14th day of the first month is called the day of conception.
The scrooges are right we don’t know when since it is a pagan celebration of the Sun on the 25th of December. The night of Jesus' birth has become famous as the basis for Nativity scenes. However, the real story is quite different from the one so often depicted. Historian Luke, who tells us of the census that brought Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem, also tells us of the shepherds' spending that important night out-of-doors with their flocks. These two circumstances have led many Bible researchers to conclude that Jesus could not have been born during December. They point out the unlikelihood of Caesar's forcing the volatile Jews to trek to their home cities during the cold and rainy season, which could further enrage a rebellious people. It is equally unlikely, scholars note, that shepherds would have been living out-of-doors with their flocks in such inclement weather. (Luke 2:8-14.
In the synagogue in Nazareth Jesus adult read aloud Isaiah “Jehovah spirit is upon me because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor”. (Luke 4: 17-21; Isai 61: 1, 2)Jesus was kind, mild and unassuming way of dealing with those in need of healing. (Mat. 8: 16, 17; 12: 10-21; Is. 42: 1-4; 53: 4, 5; I Pe. 2: 6-8; Is. 8: 14, 15; John 12: 37, 38; Is. 53: 1) He foretold that the Messiah would experience suffering before becoming King. “My back I gave to the strikers.. my face I did not conceal from humiliating things and spit. (Is. 50: 6; Mat. 26: 67) Jesus pointed to the fulfillment of Bible prophecies inspired by Jehovah God in the events unfolding around him and in events to come establishing their identity in our days.
Is. 46: 9, 10 says “I am the Divine One.. the One telling from the beginning the finale, and from long ago the things that have not been done.” Isaiah in this quote described that God only has his own ability to foretell the future. Through Isaiah God foretold the release of the ancient Israelites from Babylonian captivity and the rebuilt of Jerusalem temple 200 years in advance! Even the conqueror name Cyrus was cited and how the victory would be won.
Man is powerless to peer into the future. King Solomon says “Do not make your boast about the next day for you do not know what a day will give birth to” (Prov. 27: 1) No human care foresee even his own future, to predict the future or desesperately seek answers in astrology, numerology or spiritism. Such people are often disappointed with the results. This is the inclination of man. One type of bait used by the demons is divination, to find out about the future about “something” unknown. Some other forms of divination are the use of tarot cards, crystals, palm readings, the search of mysterious omens through colors, numbers, arrows, titles, signs, dreams, you name it! (Gal. 5: 19-21) It is pure deviance to the Bible and make absolutely no sense logically! Jesus can foresee exactly how individuals and entire nations will act and has unlimited ability to control the outcome of events “the One making the word of his servant come true and the One that carries out completely the counsel of his own messengers” (Is. 44: 26) Isaiah lived more than 700 years before Jesus, the Messiah! Isaiah and other Bible read writers foretold future events not based on their own insight “spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit”. (2 Pe. 1: 21)
Satan cannot win the war but he can make casualties if we let our guard down on false beliefs. Any such comfort is dangerous and ill. Demons are like monkees they are good imitators and pantomimes. The stronger our shield of faith the greater our resistance to wicked spirit forces (Mat. 17: 20)
