When you get that feeling,
that cascades through your heart,
that is when you'll know,
love's about to start.
When it meanders in your soul,
and blossoms like a flower,
that is when you'll know,
the rapture of loves' power.
The rapture of loves' power,
will live in every breath,
in every shining smile,
in every gentle step -
in every touch and kiss,
instilled with tenderness,
with every dream fulfilled,
by a sweet and soft caress.
To experience true love,
is a sacred gift, indeed,
for the holy gift of love,
is what we crave and need.
Love overwhelms the darkness,
on the darkest, blackest night,
and shines just like a halo,
of incandescent light -
in your heart and soul,
DEEP
DOWN
to the core,
and turns you into something,
you've never been before -
a butterfly of love,
a mauve moth to a flame,
a firefly in the moonlight,
a rainbow in the rain.

Perhaps, this doesn't fit the picture to a T - but what I've tried to paint here is a picture of how love changes us for the better - and of how wonderful and special it makes us feel.

This is my favourite stanza because love really does turn darkness into light. Nothing seems impossible when love fills our lives

I enjoyed reading this, but I don't think no matter how hard we all try, we're never going to be able to write about love and be able to fully explain it. It's just so unexplainable, our hearts do the understanding more than anything.

Very good. This poem would give anyone who's never been in love something to look forward to. The end is my favorite because you compare love to these things, which fit perfectly. I also love how you rhymed. Normally I don't enjoy poems that rhyme but it didn't seem forced in this work of yours
