There we all stood,
at 10:00 pm
by the shallow pool,
filled with its
cool, turquoise water.
He beamed kindly at me
and said,
"Goin' in?"
My friend giggled
and I shook my head.
Then, in an instant,
his handsome build
of a body
had disappeared from
my side,
and all that remained
there was his dampened,
gray t-shirt.
Splash!
I looked down into
the pool and smiled
at his dripping face,
which had turned white
from the cold.
He tried and tried
to get me to
join him,
and finally, we
were both
sharing the feeling
of chlorinated love
together.
We both couldn't stop grinning,
and I knew that if he didn't
love me the way I wanted him
to love me,
he was still a friend.
Friendship is love, and love is friendship.

Shows that you're very understanding and you know what love really means. I like this alot i can also relate to this... lol apparently i can relate to alot of what people are putting in my contest. Aww this was such a beautiful little love/friendship poem. Very original & I enjoyed how it was a personal experience. I wish I had one just like that too! (I had one similar though) lol.
