Really nice imagery in this. Seems kind of like a metaphor for death. I don't know if you intended it that way, but a leaf on a tree in the autumn is just hanging on, waiting to fall from the life-giving stem, spiral to the earth, and die. All of us are waiting for death in a sense, and we fear it.
Don't know if you were going that deep or just writing a simple nature poem, but it's a cool write.
