I'm afraid that one day
I'll do something wrong
Worse than I've been doing all along
What, exactly, I can't say.
Then the angels will block the way
To daisy-lines stairs of birdsong
And I'll break down, no longer strong
Front of fiery swords, I will pay.
No matter how hard I may pray
My sins make me belong
In the hellish fires astray.
Heaven's stairs will drift away
As my deadly deed prolongs
My time below to lifelong
For the angels, I know, will never sway.
Author notes
This is what I'm afraid will happen in the future.
