That night when we danced
That night when you told me,
"I love you... to the ends of the universe"
That night when our lips touched oh so softly
That night when the coccoons in my stomach
Hatched into a million butterfiles
That night when my feet no longer touched the floor
That night when we soared into the clouds of love
That night when I looked into your sky-lit blue eyes
Looked into the light emeralds of mine
That night when your knee failed,
Holding onto my hand for loving support
That night when I had only one word to say
That night when everything in sight disappeared,
Except for you
That night when something, for once in my life,
Went right, someone went right
That night when gravity no longer applied to the rest of my universe-
It only applied to you-
Your lips, your eyes, your golden hair, your arms holding me tight against your heart
That night was everything- was the perfect ending to a horrible life
And the beginning of a 'happily ever after'
That night passed
That night is the only night I do not refuse to remember
That night is the only one I will think of now
That night was magic,
As well as the many 'happily ever after' years afterwards
That night is the highlight of the life I wish I could have back
That night makes me forget what has happened to me now
That night pushes me into the valley of vines
The orchards of grapes
That are allowing me to see you, to feel you, to remember you
And to come closer to you, sip by sip
Orchard by orchard, vine by vine
That night, my love, shall come back to us soon again
I will be in your arms, in your eyes, with your lips against mine
Just like it was once upon a time, just before 'happily ever after'
That night
