The mist felt cold and clammy;
Dampness chilled the early morn.
Forlorn, would be the future
as the distant thunder warned.
The escape was my narcotic;
A brief tranquility to find.
I pledged the oath of my allegiance
in my altered state of mind.
"Heroin my Heroine;
My Wicked Queen Divine;
I bow to Thee completely;
My life by your design."
"I am your humble servant,
Alas, I've served you very well.
My life is in your hands;
My destiny is in your hell!"
