a pointless journey

As i walk the road of life
i walk only to reach my destination,
i do not get sidetracked by friends or family
or any other roadside attractions.
my one and only goal is to continue to walk
the beaten path that has
been laid out before me.

i often ask myself why i walk the road,
why not simply stop?
but i know i must continue,
i must reach the destination.
and question all else
when i get there.

As i reach the destination i realize the road ends
and there is nothing. if i continue i will fall
into nothing and it will be as though i never
existed. i cannot turn back, my body wont let me,
i must continue into the nothingness in front of me.
This is the time that i allow myself to question the walk.
i now realize the reason we walk the road of life.
but i realized too late. the reason we walk isnt to reach the destination.

but to enjoy the roadside attractions along the way.

yeah ur right [[the roadside attractions part]] because... what is the point in getting to the end of all if you couldnt even know what you ended?
life is about living it... not worrying 2 ending it
[[even if it ends not turning out well :/]]

    nice poem
