You dance childish rings around my bemused, aching head,
You take advantage of your muscular, powerful self
Causing me to take tiny steps away from you,
For you are unaware of the blood red line that divides us.
Like a heart coated in pastel pink coloured metal,
You are strong enough to break me into a thousand pieces.
Will I ever learn to forgive you?
Will I ever try to comprehend
that some day the lion will slaughter the lamb?
Corruption will lead to misery
And all that is special will be crushed into small fragments of sparkly dust
Which will float away into the mystical heavens,
Like butterflies and firefly fairies, careless and free.
Will you try to be ever so careful?
When around me will you provide soft, wary arms?
When the darkness erodes the serene summer skies,
Will you be there?
I will learn to trust you.
Our relationship means more to me than the trees do to the rainforest
And the stars and moon do to the night skies.
You are the one that shines light through the shadows
And that pulls the curtains closed to hide away the gloom.
You are the one that inspires my imagination.
You are my Earth.
