True has been my love for you
No matter what they say.
This love for you, you never knew
Still I wish you could stay.
I knew this day would truly come,
But never was I prepared.
Was this our future yet to come
That left me all so scared?
Why too soon do you have to leave?
Why is time against my side?
Your departure will only make me grieve.
Was the decision left for you to decide?
Couldn’t you stay for a little while.
For I know this will be the last.
I just want to see your smile
Before our time is past.
I wish that you didn’t have to go,
But this could never be,
Quietly hoping, though this you know
That one day, each other, we’ll see.
I'll never ever say farewell,
But I’ll see you soon instead.
For my love within you forever dwell,
Till then for you are these tears shed.
