I've never dreamed a dream like this
So crystal clear and pure
Never before was I so secure
In the arms of someone I'd never met
It felt so good to love again
Almost, as if, I lived again.
But the camera finally caught me
Indulging in such silent sin
That I never wished to admit to myself
My hour on prime-time was soon to be over
If it were up to me, I'd never let go.
Summer morning, a cold sweat
My heart pounding, I accepted myself.

wow this is such a lovely twist...about you loving yourself and accepting yourself...great work and i love how you write about never having really met yourself..because it certainly can feel like that the more we get to truelly know and accept ourselves, its like wow, who've i been pretending to be.

Wonderful!
dear R,
This poem leaves a lot to the imagination and yet
touches on the heart of things as well...
The words flow into each other and are honest
and forthright. Good poem! Brava! Jane

Great poem Rizzie, I really like this. I agree with what perfectsunset says, in that it is a great metaphor and has wonderful imagery - nice one.
