when words run dry from the tongue.
Telling him he keeps your heart racing
is something that can not be done.
How do you tell him he makes you sing
as his eyes entrance your heart.
How do you say his voice will still ring
even when you're kept apart.
How do you say you're lucky to find
a man whose heart is so kind.

This is a beautiful little piece, sometimes love is more than words and so much can be said by lovers without them. Best to you dear Bandit.

This is great! I've been there! So intimidated by the sheer presence of a man who's swept you off you're feet that your tongue tied & enrapt!

so very true
it is like it was something i would write to my special friend -
What a great read this one is! I know the feelings you speak of in this short, yet powerful write! And you know what, there are no words that can describe them! I have tried at least one hundred times to find those words, and yet, they never come. In fact you did a better job of capturing the feelings than I did!
Great job!

I loved the repetition and the way that you have raised these questions. My favourite line was the second because of the image in my mind. A fine piece of work. Cheers

You have been HOOD_WINKED by the Poetic Bandits. Hope all is okay and that you are feeling better. Loved the way you expressed your feelings in these lines - how wonderful that one feels this way about someone.

-
Bravo
A lovely and wondefully restrained--therefore more potent--poem penned to the beloved, with wonderful meter and fine rhyme! bravo... bravo...

For whatever reason, it is sometimes hard to express our deepest feeling of love. Hadn't thought of it this way. There is pride, fear of him leaving, etc.
Good job. Very deep. Shancy.
