Until I get There

I arise from my sitting and rest on this deserted island which has found me and step into the sand that is the horizon against the Sea of which I left my ship awaiting my return.
Wading out into the clear blue with its sparkling ambers of gold I walk in waist deep and feel the cotton surrounding my body become heavier than was intended to be.
Exercising my legs and arms getting ready for yet another swim I breath deeply, for my ship is yet another mile out rocking and swaying in the waves the wind has created from a storm to pass.
I gaze upward to the sky and see though the storm is moving in, the skies are but sunny and vivid in their blue with just only one cloud hovering a shade under the suns rays.
And as I look back towards the ship I see amidst the crackling sparkles a fin of what I am not sure but to assume a shark and yet is it the same shark that took a bite of me years past?
I wonder is it waiting to finish what it started as though it appears to be still now and growing in its size, but there is no time to worry about the skinned creature as destiny calls.
Therefore I gasp a deep breath and dive into the waters gleam towards my ship in hopes I shall arrive as I blend myself into a school of tuna; the main course of which a shark adores.
They as myself have seen the potential hazard and we fight for the center and yet I am pushed deeper into the water and so I shall keep living until I get there as the swim has become invigorating.
I can hear the splashing above me as I glimpse to see a sight I have not seen in these waters before. My soul quinces as I see one bit in half and swallowed in three passes.
I wonder in my nervous shakes if I will even get to feel the chain that anchors my ship as I swim faster and go deeper to hide from the shark that is surely devastating and hungry for more.
In the quietness of sounds now I can hear the passing of time and I see the chain of which I so eagerly have tried to reach, the chain of which that will keep me living until  I get there.

I always enjoy reading your writings. Though the meaning isn't always clear the descriptions are vivid and I can feel myself there as you describe your surroundings. It touches me and I relate it to my own struggles for which I have found, when the storms pass the blue is always true to be there.
