A man's reflection always tells
The tale he fears revealed
For in his face he cannot hide
The secrets many years concealed.
A fool looks in the mirror
With little or no regard
And never sees the roadways
That years and time have scarred.
The man with wisdom looks upon
His reflection another way
He sees the deepening lines and says,
"Like good wine...I improve with age!"
To most this is the utmost
In arrogance and pride
But think upon the concept
Don't try so hard to hide!
When you look again
at your reflection smile and say,
"Hello old friend, you're looking good!
How grand you are today!"
You think you should love all others
That you are second best
But unless you love your own self first
You cannot love the rest!
You'll find that when you take the time
To treat your own self good,
Then you'll treat others better
Than you ever thought you could!
How does this poem make you feel? What was your general impression?

So true. A beautiful poem of philosophical proportions.
Vibrant sunny, and uplifting, well done!

The flow and rhyme were divine
The message was meaningful...
at your reflection smile and say,
"Hello old friend, you're looking good!
How grand you are today!"
...as is your Poetry, my Friend!
