I do not do haiku, but:
New Moon --I associate with new beginning; with good luck (provided not first seen thtough glass); with the Muslim emblem, seen on flags and so on.
The empty pages are to me like a Janus thing: either, new pages, which the new period is offering to be written on, metaphorically; or the blank pages which should have been full of events and activities recorded, but weren't, because there were none. Yet the two are not mutually exclusive: if things have not been going as they should, there is optimistically always a time to change, or for good events to happen by chance.
And if the writer thought any of this, I'll give them a quid!

Oh, this is very nice - gives the reader plenty to interpret. Makes me think of fresh starts, tomorrow the first day of the rest of my life etc.
Well done B-I
I enjoy your haiku style.
