A sense of calmness fills me
Deep into my core I feel at peace
As the day comes to an end
God's light leads me
Over rocks and branches
I keep walking on
A voice calls me towards the light
Giving me instructions
Telling me to let go
God knows my sufferings and pain
He knows my stubbornness
He feels my fear
He sees my vulnerabilities
"Free yourself," He says.
"Do not dwell in darkness anymore.
For I am your light."
I fall to my knees and pray.
Tears blur my vision.
At that moment my heart feels warm.
I strain to see His face
He reaches for my hand
Helps me up and I am never the same again.
