Why do they all give up?
They say they want to live,
But then the turn to death.
The darkness of this world,
Is eating their every breath.
How can they let it do this?
When will they stop the chain?
When will they end the pain?
You can take what life throws,
Or else it wouldn't be thrown,
It's a meant to build you,
Till you're that skyscraper,
Skyscraper of love.
You'll be a beacon of light,
Shining ahead, and example
For all, through the darkest night.
It's not about your pain,
It's not about your strength,
It's not about the rain,
It's about your love,
Your smile through it all.
Just live your life,
Through the sorrow,
There's a tomorrow,
You can hold on.
Take every minute,
Take every second,
It's a blessing,
To even take
Another step.
Don't let the world get you down,
Keep that smile from your frown,
I know that Someone loves you,
Your life's amazing,
So step in, hearts a blazing!
Author notes
Yes, I know it has no pattern or rhythm, but it does tell a story with a few rhymes here and there.
