Your baby eyes, like deep pools
Drew me in
Each drank deeply adoration from the other’s gaze
Joy too deep for words
Now you turn on me great glittering globes sparking hate
Darts that penetrate my eyes through to my soul
Clear soul’s blood trickles down my cheeks
Your baby lips dripped milk
Tumbled over baby babbles and butterfly kisses
Gurgling giggles
Answered my light hearted laughter
Now your lips are tight hard lines
Spewing a tsunami of acid poison
That bores through my ears
Bitter wormholes pierce my mind
Your baby hands patted me softly on the cheek
A touch like kisses
Or twined your tiny fingers trustingly with mine
Deep delight filled me
Now your white fingers clench at your side
As you struggle to resist your longing
To thrust that fist in my face
The blow you hold back from my body falls on my brittle heart
It shatters
