Blessed

I am blessed
Truly blessed
And it's my quest
To bless others.

Show them the meaning of life
And how to enjoy it
Make happiness their permanent friend
Keep love in their hearts until the end.

We always talk like we are miserable
But I'm not
Just ungrateful and unappreciative.
But that has to change and I'll try
Because thinking of others who cry,
Not because of something they cant get, but will never have.
Poverty,abuse,and fear run their lives
And when they grow up you pray they know wrong from right.

And won't follow the same path as their elders
You hope they look to someone as a positive hero
So when they reach for the stars it will come clear to them
That even though they hate their past they love it too.
Because without It they would have never been so strong to make it through.

I want to be that person
Not for the recognition and whatever comes with it
But for the satisfaction of knowing the person I help will help others
And those will help others, and the others will help others ,and so on
By one person doing one act of kindness it will help thousands.

Then i can say
I am blessed
Truly blessed
This my quest
And I'll try my best.

HOPE THIS INSPRIES YOU AS MUCH AS IT DOES ME. I ALSO HOPE IT'S NOT TOO LONG IF SO I CAN TAKE SOME OFF. AND IM KINDA OF AN AMATEUR TO POEM WRITING SO GO EASY ON ME.

    Wow. This is a really inspiring poem. When life is going pretty good for us we often times forget about people who aren't as fortunate as we are. This poem helps us remember that and want to help them. Great job and thanks for entering my contest!
