It was you
and it was me
barefoot ,
running all around
There was sun
and there was rain
splashing droplets trickling streams
all the dream
was fresh and true
all the day was bright
all over the hedges shone
a dazzling row of buds
and it was you
and it was me
barefoot dancers growing steady
tipsy now and tipsy then
yet so gay and yet so fresh
slowly edged the night
and soon
hugging me
you treaded home
dreaming sweetly
closing eyes
hugging you
I ventured more,
over bridges under trees
walking ages slowly now
holding tightly to your neck
dreaming sweetly
I just slept
walking on you hummed again
then I knew
you loved me more
And I was the naked star
which you needed
evermore
yes,I am the naked star
lighting all your way!

there is nothing so bright to the naked eye, then such a star, a view that encompasses all the universe in flesh,
a fitting tribute to your love, which I deemed fit to comment on. ~~Artis

A very tender and sensual take on the prompt, beautifully written.
'walking on you hummed again
then I knew you loved me more'
simply stands out as awesome imagery.
I enjoyed this piece very much.
