Twinkling on the water,a vision like
millions of fairyflies a-flutter,
The light flickers and brightens up
The dark of night with it's loveliness.
Dancers who have been in deep
Repose awaken and stretch forth
their limbs and begin to gently sway in the warm spring niight
The wind picks up and whistles
it's own sweet melody through the trees.
The trees yawn from their slumber and
stretch their arms forth towards the sky.
And as the first glimpse of
burnt orange-yellow sky breaks forth...
a brand new robin opens
it's eyes for the very first time and
utters the first note
Of his very own, brand new song.
How does this poem make you feel? What was your general impression?

Love the imagery here, it really paints a vivid and sensual portrait of your scene. Tone is so mellow and peaceful, the colours so evocative. Reading this really makes me picture exactly what you're describing and the final line is especially powerful. Great write, thanks for sharing.

Beautiful!
You are an artist you paints pictures with words instead of paint. I like that this poem is so hopeful

Loved the images you painted in this poem. Sunrise is always my favorite time of the morning. Sitting silently and listening to Mother Nature as she speaks softly. Fireflies light up the night and magic happens for all. Lovely write.
