Blacklight Sun

In a far off place-
One you'd never believe
Past the farthest point in space
There exists a planet much like ours
With only minor but loud mis-takes

For on this place
There is but soft glowing light
And a sky that most often if purple
All the animals have hazy eyes
Since its dark most the time
And have oddly translucent green fur

All the trees and fauna of this particular place
Are very expansive
(And blue)
And while they might look slanted
Or the slightest bit creepy
I assure that the air they give off is most pure
And there are no people there to live in them

The seas on this planet are a very soft green
Which the creatures within likewise glow
And on the darkest nights
Of this yet unnamed place
The seas look like vast pools of light

Oh, this place is like earth,
If you just make-believe
It has plains and mountains and deserts
(Though admittedly, darker and of varying weather)
There are furious winds with afterthought rains
And rainbows of the strangest colors

Maybe if you close your eyes now-
If you concentrate hard
You can follow me there with your mind
I'll show you around,
You can see for yourself
For this is, I believe
What life would be like
If we lived under a blacklight sun.
