The Bible is full of teachables and a wide range of emotions. You laugh, cry, are amazed, delighted, shocked, frightened. The point of God's feelings is togetherness. In the work of the gospel and ministry in Christ fellowship, protection and accountability are encouraged. Jesus taught another great truth "Don't take rejection personally. Let me take it for you." In Acts 9 Saul set out to persecute Christians but Jesus came along and knocked him off his donkey and Saul fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him "Saul Saul why do you persecute me?" In the heart of rejection let Jesus worry about it. You have great motivation to rejoice your name has been written and sealed in heaven.
It is like a building project. To build yourself up as a genuine follower of Christ you need to guard the way you think. Satan is a master at getting people to give in to negative thinking, pessimism, distrust and despair (Eph. 2: 2). Such thinking is dangerous to a Christian. Cheer up! Jehovah provides a vital defensive tool - HOPE. Against satan and the spirit of his world, you need a prominent piece in your spiritual armor, the helmet "the hope of salvation" (I Thess 5: 8) A helmet ensured little harm can be done and hope protects your mind, your thinking. Jesus set the prime example in maintaining hope. He endured on the final night of his life betrayal, denial, abandonment, torture. Jesus faced heavier trials than we will ever face! Jesus never lost sight of "the joy that was set before him" (Heb. 12: 2) He knew that by enduring he would contribute to the sanctification of Jehovah's holy name. He would also provide the Greatest possible proof that satan is a liar and a failure.
Jesus knew that Jehovah would richly reward his faithful course. We can prove satan a liar by choosing Jehovah God as our Sovereign and keeping ourselves safe in the love of our Father no matter what trials and temptations we may face. He is eager to do so!! (Is. 30: 18; Mal. 3: 10) He delights in granting the righteous desires of our hearts (Psalm 37: 4) Never give in to the negative, degraded, twisted thinking of satan's old world and tricks. If you sense that the spirit of this world is making inroads into your mind or heart, pray fervently to Jah for "the peace of God that excels all thought". That God-given peace will guard your heart and your mental powers (Phil. 4: 6, 7) Very soon after the great tribulation with satan and his demons out of the way, it will be a very first to experience life without the pressure of satan and fresh air! As we grow to perfection a greater reward the path to glorious freedom in holy faith and God's love all eternity. My thing!
