Oath to Death (Re-written)

Don't hurt me again
Let me see your bright smile once more
The smile that I never acknowledged before.
The damage is set
The memories lost
It wasn't my choice.
Maybe I was right to hate you
I was right to give you what you deserve
But I only realize now, you deserved my acceptance.
I deeply dislike myself, but what's done is done.
I am to blame.

I bear the foolishness, the kind that cannot be forgiven.
I bear the ignorance, the kind that made me believe I couldn't lose.
I bear the regret, the kind that lists my endless apologies.
It wouldn't matter.
It's too late to say sorry, anyhow.
Your ears are permanently deaf
As my heart is permanently destructed.

There is my lament
And there is my ambition
The goal I have set.
I will not fear any longer
I will not cry any longer
I will see death
See it along with you.
Even though for what you've done lifts you higher
And what I've done drags me lower
Note there will come a time
When my time is meaningfully finished
And not thrown away.
And though time sets our distance,
We will, as a broken heart brings me to promise
Perish together.

Author notes

A re-write of the very first poem I submitted to Allpoetry.
It took me forever to write cause my brother kept on stealing the computer. He does not see the importance of young writing! lawl.

excellent i liked it very deep indeed

nothing much to complain on grammars fine but
id suggest to replace the periods with commas as periods act as a sudden stop an pause the flow to it

however i liked the poem an thanks for entering my contest

I did that with my other poems (I think) but ended up being marked down for no-periods and yeah. xD
      Thank you and your welcome.
