My sweet child
so tiny and small
soon your will be apart of this world
and leaving your once safe home.
I promise to be there
when every you need
when you fall
I will kiss the booboo
When your heart is broken
I will help you pick up the pieces
When it is your birthday
I will attack you with birthday kisses
When the monsters under your bed scare you
I will stay with you until you fall asleep
And when you need my help
I will only be a Mom away.
But with a mother's promise comes something else
I promise to stand back and let you fall,
but then pick yourself up
I will let you make your own mistakes and
Let you succeed on your own
But out of everything I promise
I promise to be the best mommy I can be
I will love you forever
And as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.

I love it that you can let your child make their own mistakes and only help them after. Otherwise, how would they learn?
A great write. I can relate to most of the tihngs you wrote here, having grown up watching my mom nurse my baby sister in a far off sort of way.
Congratulations.
Good luck in the contest.
Chin up,

This is a beautiful dedication to both children and to mothers who try to do the best by their children, no matter how hard it is sometimes. Well done, best to you
