Blinded

she watched the stars

through a corpus covering

of intricate flesh and bone;

her curdled cartilage.

and her stitched eyes
[saw everything]

through bleeding ears.

how interesting

that everything existed

beyond her line of sight.

    This is really great. I like the take on the prompt.

    "she watched the stars

    through a corpus covering

    of intricate flesh and bone;

    her curdled cartilage."

    This is a great stanza. The way you describe being blind is very intriguing. I love it.

    "and her stitched eyes
    [saw everything]

    through bleeding ears."

    I like that. That she's "seeing" through her ears. Wonderfully written.

    "how interesting

    that everything existed

    beyond her line of sight."

    I like this ending. :] Your poem is fantastic. Good luck in the contest!

    You've taken the question and given it a metaphorical answer without truly realizing there was neither a question or an answer there. Kudos for this. By the way, unless I'm mistaken, I think you meant to say 'sight' -unless 'site' was purposely inputted
