I see you standing in the shadows.
Reaching out, not really there.
I feel the ache inside myself,
Into my pillow, tears I share.

You left so fast, you didn't wait,
No time then, for goodbye.
Now I'm broken,... so many pieces.
While in my darkened room I cry!

Why did you leave me here alone,
I can't see you anymore.
My tears to endlessly fall,.
Filling the oceans to the shore.

Why did you leave me far behind
With these two tear stained eyes?
For I can't follow in your steps
And I hear only painful lies.

How my heart will one day mend,
Though broken and so shattered.
I can't stand up, I can't go on,...
My soul you bruised and battered.

The curtains move in the moonlight,
Memories flood in sweet refrain.
You bring me whispers of yourself,
To ease my tortured pain.

All these tears I cry for you,
Their saltiness fills the ocean.
You gently gather them to yourself...
Release them in languished devotion.

Why did you leave me here alone,
I can't see you anymore.
My tears shall endlessly fall,
Till I can live ~ once more!

    Wow, wow, and once again wow. This is most excellent and superb and wonderful and all those other synomyns. I love this to the most distant parts of much of stuff I don't know what I'm talking about lol My mind just went dead and I kept on writing. How wonderful. Anyway this is an awesome poem. Love it. Yay!!!!

    Thank you for your entry in the contest. An interesting poem capturing the feelings of despair beautifully. We do feel that one picture would have been sufficient for the poem, but that is your personal choice.

    It really feel that it will take ages for the hurt to go away but it does go away in a while . This is very beautiful piece and shows the emtions we go through.but then yes we go and pass over it.

    A greatw write with great flow. It hurts when people are careless with our feelings. I've gone through it once...thought I wouldn't survive it...but here I am. Hang in there if this pertains to you, if not, well done.
