Abstract art

Four billion miles of light across the sky

Where dust creates an abstract work of art

With beauty far beyond unaided eye

The nurseries where solar systems start

The remnants of explosions long ago

Now seed the galaxy with all life's needs

Soon gravity can cause a star to grow

The nebular the soup on which it feeds

Such spinning swirls of gas once spawned our sun

The Earth was just the dust that moved too fast

The disk of gas  and rock from which we're spun

Was once the created by a stellar blast

Though physics can explain the things we see

The beauty of it all means more to me
