Watch your step, Love, don't fall.
I know you didn't mean to.
Life that way only held me back.
Now I get to begin anew.
Trust me, Love, it wouldn't work.
It would bring more hurt and pain.
You have the perfect life,
You have absolutely nothing to gain.
Now, Love, you can live once again,
You needn't come to my every call.
Be careful now, back up a few steps.

A poem about two lovers who walked along the edge of the bridge. The girl slipped and the boy couldn't save her, so now he feels guilt that she has died. He thinks to jump, and it's the girls angel that keeps him from falling. Written from her point of view.
