She wore a new dress
but put on her old slippers
ones she had for years
that got her through so much
so comfortable
easy to slip into
it was her lucky pair after all
but
no matter what she wore,
she still needed someone
to hold her up
and spin her
someone
to put her back in her chair
so do I

sad but touching
well written ....this poem speaks of a lonelness no matter what she put on she wasnt happy because she doenst have someone in her lifs...really saddddd....I could be wrong!but thats what i took from this poem well done!

this poem is very sad to me.. the emotions just jumping off the page. this poem pulled on the heart strings and pulled them quite hard.
