Loose at night, path of least resistance is found,
demons, they haunt me, can only toss and turn
chasing me, making my tortured mind unsound.
On the carousel of my mind they do learn,
which of my memories will hurt me the worst
all the things I've done, to eternally burn.
Are the very ones I am always shown first,
eroding my confidence, self esteem
slowly, spiritually, I die of thirst.
The light still shines though, just a glimmer, a gleam,
reach hard for it, extending your arms and pray
God can pull you from insanities mad stream.
Invite Him in your heart, there He will stay,
will give you the strength to make it through the day.

Thank You for Your entry: Insanities mad stream (Terza Rima)
This piece tugged hard at Spirit and while I was reading which I do several times~ Images come to me in many forms~ while taking in Your words: I die of thirst- now when I read this- I was being shown a pouch of liquid but also as if the person was walking in the desert- reference to Holy Water blessed by a Saint- if that makes any sense for I am trying to decipher what I am seeing- now this may sound strange but being given what sounds like phrase: Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints- and interestingly enough- I am being shown a layering of bricks- one atop the other- Free Mason- Oooooooooooooh now after reading again- reference to biting tongue -however that is to be interpreted-- Whether metaphor or symbolism
Hopefully this makes some sense~
