What enchantment has been cast over the night
That causes my senses to climb to such a height
And I stare for hours as the waters break the light apart
The moon against the blue night glowing a memory into my heart
O, night, your seductive call has me forever hypnotized
Locked into your deep and soulful eyes
I dare not to move or speak, lest I break free
From this midnight dream you created for me
Meditating sweetly on the witching hour
That passes by delicately as a blooming flower
All the seven seas crash and flow within me
In just one magical moment that I see
Blades of light break through the veil of darkness
Just as night stalks the daytime with shadowy blackness
The white glow compliments the night time splendor
That envelops and covers me in its own subtle manner
Do not wake me from this haunting dream
Guided by Neptune, down a misty stream
Drifting away, not knowing whether I'll land
I only hold the Moon's soft, motherly hand
I am lost in the night's endless maze
Until the full moon reaches its next phaze
And the sun conquers the night with its glorious day
But here I wish I could eternally stay
Lost in the starry milky way

Your ability to couple words with imagination never ceases to amaze me. I particularly enjoyed the 3rd and 5th stanza. Glad to see you're still writing! Cheers!

Thanks for commenting! I'm glad you liked it. It was inspired by one of my most intense feelings. Thankfully this time, writing the poem didn't drain me of the feeling like most others do. I hope you're well. Take care!
