You let them get into you head
They tell you these nasty lies
And you just set there like your dead
Not listening to my cries
I tell you I did not cheat
I say I am just yours
But them I can’t seem to beat
The truth I can’t reassure
You seem to just turn around
Not listening to my voice
In this confusion I was bound
It seems as if there wasn’t a choice
I say that I never did such a thing
But my words bounce off the wall
Now your sliding off your ring
And I just seem to fall
I can’t lose you babe
Not now, not ever
Our love I must save
I have to get it together
I can’t lose your smile
I won’t walk away
I will run a thousand miles
If you will just stay

Thank you for your entry in the contest. An interesting poem dealing with feelings. Your rhyming is good but your rhythm and flow are a little awkward in places, but a good read nevertheless.
All the best at judging
