her heart shatters
into just one piece
he picks it up,
puts it in his pocket,
and walks away.
leaving her to drowned
in her own tears.
three years of happiness
ruined in a moment.
she lies there breathless,
losing her mind slowly.
he had had his fun,
and threw her away.
he was done,
and so was she.
she was done
with love, men, lies.
most of all crying
over something
that never existed.
so she picked up
her broken smile,
and opened her eyes
to possibilities.
