My husband took this photograph when we had our first snowfall last winter. That was sometime in early November, 2007. I always thought this was a beautiful photo, and found it again, just today.

This is a lovely scene, Renee, and it looks just as if someone had shaken sugar on it - tasty? I don't know!

And so the cold and bitter suddenly becomes sweet and full of joy. It is a choice that turns everything into a gift.

A Beautiful Picture!!!
Your words bring the picture to life here...I love snow and snowy pictures...They just leave me in a calm wonder of the power and majesty of our great God!!! He created all seasons with beauty but I have to say nothing leaves me in wonder more than winter....A great job here my poetess friend!!!!~~Toni~~

Wow Renee'! Lovely haiku! How it brings back memories of your two comments on my trees and a snow scene you commented on! Your title drew me in..."Dusted with powdered sugar." Bookmarking this for its sentimental value, and its yours! Bravo!
