Trials I've faced, but I won't let it hold me back;
for knowing you is my heart's greatest treasure.
This feeling is uplifting- taking me to dreams;
captured in a steadfast beat only for you.
No fear to control me, with words long overdue;
travelling galaxies upon stars and moonbeams-
that in your presence I've found my mind's pleasure,
completing the love that for so long I had lacked.
I've opened my heart to welcome the embrace;
awaiting a simple measure that I'm not alone.
Growing a garden within my soul, with care;
to lift your own hopes and dreams skyward.
And a time will soon come where we can move forward;
breathing as one, the very same air-
freed of the binds we both have known;
left with a lingering smile upon gentle face.
