I knew him for years
I never judged him
I heard people bitch about him
but i never judged him
His choices were his alone

He has never used me
I know he does wrong
but I know he can fix it
If he has the right person helping him
Although he is no longer
best friends with my brother
It's the fact that he was
It's the reason we met
I can not picture life without him
I don't even want to
I know at times
It'll be a one way road
but I'll keep walking along it
Pausing for him to catch up
No matter how long it takes
