Fingers gripping steering wheel,
foot smashing accelerator to floor,
glove compartment full of speeding tickets,
wallet holding suspended driver's license.
Roaring wrong way down one way street
with headlights off in the middle of the night.
Hearts driving obstinacy's racecar
always ignored any, but own rules,
until hitting circumstance's wall.

This was such a wonderful take on the prompt. You created some really clear images that puts the reader on the edge of their seat. I really loved the last stanza, which was very clever and a wonderful ending. Congratulations on your gold and on a great poem.
