I wish I could catch a glimpse of you.
I would cradle the priceless vision of perfection in my palms
and deliberately crumple the blurred edges
because that is where you came from
and the centre is where we will be.
all I want is a nail to bite on
and a blank photograph for you & me
I peeled the plastic film off of your eyes
so that you could see the monochromatic negatives
fetter in hypoxic air as I sucked oxygen into my lungs
and forgot to feed my brain.
while the rounds of synthetic memories melted under conflict
I lit your past ablaze
and in the smoke rocketing away from my little bonfire
I saw your cheek erase plumes of time-dust with damp drops of deluged damage.
a lining of velvet violates the sky
while I soak up every pall of plush
and purpose that even a silent roll of film
can’t comprehend.

awww this is just beautiful.
so relatable, it's almost as if some of these words were mine & you somehow stole my voice [or webpage, lol].
