I'm collecting little things:
blankets, bibs, and tiny shoes.
I have a secret saving place
to tuck away the things I choose.
I hope you'll love my baby...
it's true; he's on the way.
I just hope all will go well...
on his very first and fine birthday.
My family can't believe this
and my boy friend's stunned, it's true.
But I'm your loving mother
and I'll take care of you.
I know it won't be easy,
I'm young; have far to go.
But I'll be a good mother...
I'm sure of that, you know.
