when you get on your knees
and say touch me hold me fuck me please
everything gets a little easier
when you don't say a word
as your friends are choking and crying
and having faith that things will be okay
everything gets a little easier
when you tell your parents to fuck off
and are too frustrated to say anything else
everything gets a little easier
an upbeat tune to start the day
a mild sedative to make you stay
a book with lots of sex games to play
stay on your knees and you'll be okay
when you tell everyone else to fuck off
when you're in labor at 19
when everything in life happens behind closed doors
everything gets a little easier
when I tell you it's okay
and no one will see
if you wear long sleeves
everything becomes effortless
Jesus Christ, you slashed open your legs, too? If you wear long pants someone's going to catch on.

You can feel the tension building here
it's all set to a perfect tone, with an air of repressed feeling ("it gets a little easier"), the repetition adding to it, and then suddenly, at the very end, the tone changes and brings the poem to its climax, "Jesus Christ, you slashed open your legs, too?.."
Brilliant work.

Your quasi-criticism is warmly welcomed. Everyone likes to run around saying great work great work to everyone without backing it up with anything. It's a breath of fresh air when someone says something different. Thanks for your exceptional comment.
