against the ground
like crumpled shells
we shed our skin of grime
the air propels
heavy seas -
bleached bones
quietly, man remains
Author notes
the title was based on one of my favourite poems - "sunflower sutra" by allen ginsberg. as was his line "we are not our skin of grime".
