The Ice

Stopped in the middle,
I stare with starry eyes.
My gaze in a dream,
Lost in a world of a thousand lies.

Ignorance is bliss.
But ignore with caution,
Never thinking is never being,
Only frozen, pushed past exhaustion.

Believe like I did,
Trust and be merry,
But end up like me,
Stuck in ice, having not been wary.

Guard your heart,
There all honour lies,
But if you mustn't,
There all ice meets lies.

Trust a being with your heart,
A dragon they'll become,
To rip you and bite you
Until you are no longer one.

You'll freeze under the cruel gaze
Of undiscriminating Dishonesty and Pain,
Who will stab and stab again
At the monster ruling your brain.

Be harsh. I can take it. I need it.

Sorry...but there is no reason for me to be harsh!

I enjoyed this poem very much. Trust me; I would critique you if there was a need. However, I see no problems in this piece. Props to you.
