Lol... and I recall a litle boy chacing you with a ladybug one time in Germany, Darlene... you running and screaming, everyone else laughing. I did feel bad for you, though... ummm, honest.
Cute haiku, very imaginative
Good luck in the contest, Sis

OHHH geez Darlene, I hate bugs on me, worse still to have them in my clothes. Great haiku.

Usually I don't mind grasshoppers but this is

Great image, Darlene!

-
I don't like bugs crawling on any part of my body, leave alone into my shirt! I'd scream and kick (jump is the best word) like crazy.
That grasshopper should be looking for new outfit somewhere else
Very good images you have here, well done with teh way you show them.

how about cry...that is what I did...
Thanks for reading and commenting on one of my first attempts at writing haiku...the old ones don't count..they are not real haiku.

Hi Darlene - good to see you posting a haiku into this contest. It's a wonderful example of the form with clear images and a wonderful ending line which causes the reader to stop and consider. You have captured the fear very well with your well-chosen words.
Best wishes in the contest,
Myron.

Thanks Myron, I am happy to see you reading my postings and commenting...thanks much...I miss our daily dialogs...

In an instance such as this, the grasshopper would survivve quicker than I would. No doubt! LOL
Oh my...I would have the heebeegeebees for days.
.
I LOVED THIS haiku!

The best to you in the challenge!
Much Love ♥

Thanks Terry-too...if that itch was the only thing that happened...

Oh dear Darlene, did the grasshopper eat your clothes? but it's a good reason to buy some new ones.

Great haiku.

Dear Darlene,
I promised to come back. Like you I have been very busy (but not stuffing dolls! LOL)
I have a question: I know that arachnophobia is fear of spiders - does anyone know what fear of grasshoppers is termed?

-
-
Hi Hugh I believe it is Acridophobia if I remember corretly, hugs Di

OHHH geez Darlene, I would freak out if a grasshopper crawled into my skirt,or any other creepy crawly for that matter. I would be changing clothes too!

Hi Angelica,
When I was really young my uncle put a grasshopper down my shirt...I have been terrified of them ever since...
Thanks for reading this and commenting...but...who got the new clothes, me or the grasshopper...
-
-
Hugh had to run because he had a grasshopper in his shorts.

I know that feeling...once a bug is on my bed, or on my shirt...or heaven forbid, up my shirt...(more than one horror there!) I just have to change...feels icky.

Will return - good luck in contest,
applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh (R.)

Dear Hugh,
Short comments are acceptable...after all this is a contest about brevity..
-
Hi Yem,
I'd run too if I had a grasshopper in my shorts...or bed or any other place in my 'space' and I really did have one put up my shirt...created instant panic attacks that have lasted for over 60 years...
