Mysts’ husband still sees her as young chick,
wearing rose colored glasses,
she’s still his lily of the valley
sweet with hair so long and thick!
She’s usually singing in the shower
as dawn peeks through their shades.
August 19th is different, as he sings “Happy Birthday!”
Using a sponge mike to muffle off-key words,
“Sam, come join me for a special romp;
please put down that God damned browser!”
With his waterproof cell, I got a call at 7AM.
“Help me, Linda, please, as I have to go to work.
Sam won’t stop writing poems; I need you to call her now!
She’s ignoring my heart felt pleas, to celebrate her special day.
Once a year, I get up to size, like in the days of old,
I’m horny for my honey pie; soaped up for her birthday prize!”
“Hi, Sam, it’s me. Happy Birthday my darling friend.
I’ll call you back later; go and jump his bones right now!
This day only comes once each year; it’s not nice to make him wait.
He loves you dear, with all his soul. Don’t make him masturbate!
Today you can wait to log on to AP. Grab your gift before it wilts.
The girls have made a special breakfast and will soon be at your door.
How embarrassing it would be, to hear you scream for more!”
“Hurry, Samantha enjoy each moment your Birthday brings.
I’ll sing to you later after the fiery shower’s through.
Join your family now and know I’ll be thinking only of you!
MANY MORE HAPPY BIRTHDAYS! I LOVE YOU MYSTIC RAYNE!

An interesting write for sure. While you started with poetic lines, slowly your switched to a kind of prose-poetic lines....I'm glad you added some humor into your poem. ( does she really sing under the shower?...no wonder)..Some word-usage I think it's a little too obviously...Overall you did a great job on it. Thank you for entering my contest

Nevel, Thank you for the HM. Samantha wanted me to write her a humorous poem. She told me some things about her that no one else knew. Yes, she sings in the shower! LOL All the other poems were so sweet and Sam knows me well enough that I wouldn't be like all the rest! What word usage was a little too obvious?IT was a nice idea for her, and I know she appreciated every single entry!

, so that was the aim for this contest. A line like" He loves you dear, with all his soul. Don't make him masturbate!" sounds a little like a kind of porn to me, one-layer-meaning. Point is you can use sexually imagery to connote something else, often on a very direct and efficient way, likewise you can use non-sexually imagery to connote some hidden sexual/erotic meaning. well, your poem sprankles with such joyfully teasing on a funny way, that the main focus lays on humor, and aging
