Memos and reports piled on my desk
slithering through me as if they were acid soaked vipers,
each screaming an endless demand,
heart throbbing, pulse pounding at temples,
I can feel each second from the clock on the wall,
tick way another layer of my frail sense in control,
my insides are a simmering pot,
stress bubbling, biting lips, fighting fear of explosion.
Muscles starting to ache from tightening
over the pressure squeezing my sanity and mood.
Only release is the trip to fantasy's butcher shop,
mentally imagining a knife or bat to vent the seething slayer
clawing at my gut to carve up every vile offender of my peace.
Waiting for the one word too many to light the dynamite inside,
a match coming in any small phrase or thought,
which my decaying will interprets as insult.
Fondling the scissors in the desk drawer
imaging using them on throat of first person
that asks the wrong question,
body starts to shake from shockwaves of suppressed hate,
wondering when the whistle will blow
on steam valve within my spirit,
unleashing terror in volatile vomit.
Mercifully, this time the day ends before I am consumed,
still churning, but hopefully the drive home
will cool the inferno till tomorrow ignites it again.

OMG~
I was always told to never run with scissors or give directions while holding a Ginsu blade
and so during a paper cut hostage situation-
tell the disgruntled employee to step away from the fax machine- put down the stapler-
Heck You have a full blown anger attack on Your hands here
Love the picture too
Thank You for sharing Your Talent also Spirit~
Many blessings to You in the contest Sweetness
Best wishes too
