I Want To Be

I want to be
like the colors of a rainbow
like the birds in the air,
but I’m me.
One day I’ll sail the seas and dive into the water
I’ll twinkle as bright as the stars at night
like lanterns glistening in a dark alley.
One day… Someday…

This was based on a poem in the book House On Mango Street. I had to do it for 6th grade ^^
