Chasing Tomorrow

Chasing tomorrow through endless night
darkness brings morning’s blush in its wake,
headlong I speed to unfulfilled dreams
reflecting on yesterday’s cold heartache.

Tailing the moon on its cycled rebirth
closing the gap between then and now,
leaving the daylight to fond memory
opening doors that new days endow.

There is no beginning there is no end
an ageless wheel of joy and sorrow,
drowned out hopes I can never redeem
but brand new chances dawn tomorrow.

The choices are mine to rise or fall
for in this life there’s no rehearsal,
chasing tomorrow through endless night
a lonely path with no reversal,

Wow, this is really beautiful. Most ordinarily I am not really fond of rhyme, but the way you weaved together it made it almost effortless. I also loved the fluidity in this poem, very captivating and almost demure. Wonderful job.
