I still blow bubbles
sticky wet and air borne
I get them from the dollar store
and the dish soap
oh, and I was caught at work
in the bathroom, at the sink
They believe I need a shrink
I like to add to my thinning hair
drapes of red, pink and black
in curls, ribbons and braids
I am partial to style, as one
changes their shoes or purse
I have my signature pig tails
I live in my own faery realms
I dance in the rain, barefoot
I sing off tune, at the grocery
I delight in the morning chocolate cake
I’m a grown kid, for goodness sake
It’s the small things that ever amuse me
The chimes glittering in the sun
tinkling on my front porch
The snake that my feline decided
to make her friend and pats at
excitedly. The tree that begs to
be relieved of it’s dewy drops
right on my best friends head!
There’s something to be said
for never getting out of
childhoods bed.

how wonderful...
that you unabashedly nurture your inner child in so many imaginative ways. What a delightful read. -
