People walk by, don’t turn ‘round
If they look at you it’s only to frown
You feel the label they’re stuck on your soul
A category, they expect you to mold
Your listed and packaged and then put down
They only see one of “them”, to that image you’re bound

until we refuse to accept the package others put us in we will always feel we are not good enough.
It seems that it is only later on in life when we stop trying to be other than we are , that we start to live and enjoy life.
Stuff what others think i live in this body and what i do with it is mine alone to do
An excellent write well done

WONDERFUL! I love this. So very true and so elegantly written. Maybe I'm just totally bias because I tend to be on the receiving end of stereotypes much to often, but I just love this piece to death. So wonderfully done. Absolutely amazing. You show some wonderful talent with this piece.
The line : 'Your listed and packaged and then put down', just touches something so real. You have a wonderful grasp of feeling and emotion in this piece. The flow and the word choices are just remarkable. Keep up the wonderful work you have much talent. Thank you so much for sharing this piece with me, and even more thanks for entering it in to my contest. The best of luck to you in the contest. -
Nice job. Everyone stereotypes. "Them" are the ones that cannot look at an individual who has been stereotyped and see their worth. In the long run, they are narrow minded and miss out.
